Rock for People takes place in the unique premises of the former military airport with eight hangars that underline the atmosphere of the festival. It has an area of ​​60 ha and operates on the principles of a circular economy and by 2030 it plans to be climate neutral and energy self sufficient.
The Rock for People Festival is also a pioneer in the area of ​​sustainability and
ecology, uses alternative energy sources (hydrogen, sun and wind) powering stages, sorting waste into 17 types and offering a diverse diet not only from vegetable raw but also uses materials and emission-free transport.
The 2023 Rock for People won the first prize in NFCtron Keynote 2024 in the category
Sustainable project.
Rock for People can compete with world festivals. Already for the second time it was among the TOP 10 in the middle European category. The jury of the prestigious European Festival Awards included Rock for People in the top ten in two more categories - The Brand Activation Award for cooperation with general partner Komerční banka on a unique concept sustainable zones of KB FutureFest 2030.
The director was also nominated of the Michal Thomes Festival for an award for outstanding results and passion. (The Award for Excellence and Passion).
